Artemis has already presented its works in October 2019 at the Musée Greuze in Tournus, and has decided to return to Tournus at the Salle Capitulaire from 03 to 24 September 2023, to exhibit for the first time its latest creation, entitled "Les Bâtisseurs", a reference to the builders of the Cathedrals.
This monumental tapestry, which also bears the name of the entire cycle, is made up of 12 woven panels, its path symbolising the Stone, the Size, the Jewel... The tapestry "Les Bâtisseurs" measures in its entirety 6.00 m wide by 2.20 m high.
The exhibition will be completed by five other tapestries evoking sculptures that are invisible from the ground and can only be seen from the sky...
Artemis finds her inspiration on the Greek island of Tinos, where she works most of the year, and has exhibited throughout Europe and in the United States (Onassis Foundation).
In 2010 she donated her first work, "The Odyssey Cycle", which took her almost ten years to complete, to the Musée National de la Tapisserie in Angers.
A surprising and exceptional exhibition not to be missed.
