Tarant3lla is a musical project founded and directed by Claudio Del Vecchio with the aim of modernising tarantella, the traditional music of southern Italy.
The group proposes a new interpretation of the typical rhythms of these popular traditions, played mainly on the tambourine - the emblematic instrument of this genre - while creating original compositions, new arrangements and a new sound where acoustics meet electronics.
The voices, sometimes gentle, sometimes wild, weave bridges between ancient and modern songs, in a mix of original compositions and revisited traditional pieces.
Tarant3lla is the soul of the South on the move, with its warmth, poetry and freedom of dance.
With Richard Posselt, accordionist with the group since its inception, Félix Semet, multi-instrumentalist (seven-string guitar, gypsy guitar, electric guitar, bass), mainly mandolinist with Tarant3lla, and Marius Kikteff, jazz and Balkan music guitarist.
Free admission. Refreshment bar open from 8pm. Merguez and Chipos.
